The rumour is that Spring is here but it is hard to believe with all these snow banks still hanging around!

First, lets recap 2013. ..
Last year I enlisted in a challenge to doodle something for 300 days out of the year and to share at least one of them once a week on the blog.  So how did I do? Meh, not so good! I did not achieve 300 doodles, in fact I only got half way to 300 but I did a lot better on posting them weekly on the blog and on my instagram feed.

Now despite the fact that I did not reach the numeric goal of 300, I did achieve the primary goal which was to keep up and improve my hand drawing skills. Plus, I put my work out there (which is always a scary thing to do) experimented with techniques and it felt really good to take the time to sit down and just doodle for fun.

Plan for 2014...
I will be doing it again and this time I will be a little more reserved in my numeric target by aiming for 2 doodles a week and sharing them once a week on the blog. I also hope to join some more 30 day challenges like this one which I participated in last year.

The goal is to not just keep my skills alive but to keep on developing them, challenging myself, especially my lettering…so if there are any 'name' or 'word' requests out there, leave them in the comments below and I will try to do them justice :)
